The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in collaboration with TikTok Thailand and Klook Thailand, has unveiled the “Amazing Thailand Passion Ambassador” initiative. This exciting campaign invites tourists and content creators to showcase their Thailand travel experiences through engaging videos. Participants stand a chance to win prizes totaling more than two million Baht, igniting a creative showcase of Thailand’s rich cultural tapestry and breathtaking landscapes.
Join the Movement to Ignite Thailand’s Tourism
Aligned with the government’s vision to cement Thailand as a premier tourism hub, this initiative is spearheaded by TAT Governor Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool. It reflects a dynamic approach to marketing—dubbed ‘Marketing 6.0’—which focuses on digital engagement and sustainable tourism. “This campaign not only aims to boost tourism but also supports our PASS strategy, which includes accelerating digital access and fostering a subculture movement,” said Ms. Kiatphaibool.
How to Participate
From August 1 to August 31, 2024, adventurers and digital storytellers are encouraged to upload their Thailand travel videos to TikTok. Make sure your posts are public and use the hashtags #AmazingThailandPassionAmbassador, #AmazingThailand, and #PassionAmbassador to qualify. The top 80 videos with the highest engagement will receive a travel voucher, while another 2,000 entries that meet the criteria will enjoy complimentary gifts. Winners will be announced on September 15, 2024, on Amazing Thailand’s social media platforms.
In partnership with Klook Thailand, the initiative also offers discounts on hotels, car rentals, and tourist activities. Enjoy up to 10% off on accommodations and car services and 12% off on activities at over 150 partners across Thailand. From luxury hotels like Centara and Dusit to adventure spots like the Pongyang Jungle Coaster Zipline, there’s something for every traveler.
TikTok, a previous collaborator with TAT during the Songkran festival, continues its support by engaging top creators to promote this initiative. “By leveraging TikTok’s content creation tools, participants can share their exciting travel stories, helping to enhance Thailand’s cultural footprint globally,” stated Ms. Chanida Klyphun, Head of Public Policy at TikTok, Thailand.
This initiative not only aims to attract visitors but also to enrich their understanding of Thailand’s diverse cultural heritage. By integrating travel with creative expression, the “Amazing Thailand Passion Ambassador” initiative hopes to inspire a deeper appreciation and sustainable engagement with Thailand’s tourist landscapes.
